Emergency Medicine Residency Education Development Fund
“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.” –Kathy Calvin
Dear UMKC EM Residency Alumni and Supporters,
As an alum of the EM residency, I am proud of the history and tradition of our Department and residency program. We have over 350 EM residency graduates spread across the country. Our graduates serve(d) in numerous leadership positions including Chief Medical Officer for the Department of Homeland Security, President of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, Editor of Annals of Emergency Medicine, Chief Medical Officer, and two ABEM presidents. However, most of you practice(d) clinical emergency medicine and serve(d) your patients and communities by providing outstanding emergency care. Your devotion to your patients and the specialty of emergency medicine is remarkable. We continue to strive to educate and train EM residents to provide quality, up-to-date emergency care while being caring and compassionate. Our faculty and EM residency program directors push themselves to provide innovative, evidence-based educational activities. Such devotion requires resources. Giving back to the residency program is one way to demonstrate your appreciation of our efforts. Your gift can make a difference to the EM residents and program so please consider donating to the EM residency alumni fund. Every contribution matters and is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Sincerely,
